STU Delegates' Dialogue with Education Minister, Mr Desmond Lee - 02 Aug 2025

At STU’s recent delegates’ engagement session, STU General Secretary Mr Mike Thiruman shared key highlights for the upcoming 6th National Delegates’ Conference.
He spoke about the core issues raised, from teacher workload and leadership renewal, to building a culture of care, trust, and collaboration in schools. The resolutions passed at the NDC will shape STU’s direction over the next four years, with a focus on career support, engaging younger educators, and amplifying teachers’ voices in shaping policy, which the delegates actually did during their dialogue with the Education Minister, Mr Desmond Lee, which followed the engagement session.
It was a meaningful session with active dialogue and shared purpose, all for a stronger teaching community.
